What lash styles should I wear?
Round eyes naturally have incredible dimension and they are very versatile. To enhance its natural depth further it’s best to avoid very thick false lashes. Thicker lashes can have a tendency to overwhelm your lash line and make your eye seem smaller than they are. We suggest looking for wispy and winged style lashes. Our lashes are ideal for you as they are the classic winged lash style but because the hair is tapered and have different lengths it won’t overwhelm your eyes line. Our Mandee Lashes are also a great choice as they open your eyes with most of the longer lashes in the middle of the lash line, additionally, this is one of our lighter styles so they will not overwhelm your lash line. If you want to go for a more natural look, our Thuy Lashes are the more natural version of the Tina with shorter hairs that will be less dramatic but still enhance your beautiful eyes!
Hooded eyes are sultry and mysterious. Women with hooded eyes have a mystique about them and you’ll want to emphasize your natural shape. You want to focus on lashes with tapered ends with a mirrored lash style. This will accentuate your natural eye shape and give a little more drama to those eyes. For your beautiful eyes we suggest our Mimi Lashes as they are cluttered to add more dimension to your eyes and the spikes style will add more mystery to your eyes. Spikey lashes are a combination of short and long hairs that are precisely layered to create depth. We would also suggest our Jenai Lashes as they are the classic mirrored lash style with the longest hair in the middle of the lash line. With Jenai Lash tapered ends, you won’t be overwhelmed by the lash style it will only open up your eyes to create a more youthful and brighter look.
Lucky you – monolids are an open canvas! You have the ability to create your crease with your lashes. Depending on how dramatic you want your eyes to be you can go lighter or opt for a double layer for intense drama. We suggest trying our Lashes which are a spike crisscross style that is also mirrored to have the longest length in the middle of the lash line. If you’re into a cat eye which the monolid eye lends itself well to we would suggest Tina or Thuy Lashes. The Tina Lashes are the classic winged lashes that will accentuate your eyes natural shape and if you’re into more natural shapes our Thuy Lashes will give you the natural cat eye you crave to subtly emphasize your lash line.
Almond eyes are the most universal shape and are blessed with versatility – a wide variety of false eyelashes will work for you. Just about any lash style will look great on you, however, you may want to take full advantage of your ability to create the perfect cat eye. You don’t have any restriction in terms of depth or length it’s basically your choice to do what you want. Our best picks for you would be our Tina Lashes a classic winged style for the perfect cat eye, our Thuy Lashes which is a more natural version of the Tina Lashes, or go bold with our Adrienne Lashes that has the ultimate drama and volume.
Another super versatile eye shape, in their natural state they are very similar to the almond eye as they typically are almond eyes with a slight upturn at the outer corners. Again, you have free reign to try any style you like as anyone with almond eyes. Winged lashes like our Tina Lashes or mirrored lash styles like our Jenai Lashes are our picks for you. Both will look amazing on you and it just depends on what your goals are. Are you looking to emphasize the upturn in your eyes and create an intense cat eye? Then the Lashes are for you. Do you want to open your eyes up and just let your natural upturn speak for itself? Then the Lash is the one you should go with. But then again, you have the versatility to try any lash style your little heart desires…you want to have some fun to see what your preference is. Lucky you!!
Downturned eyes are that captivating, vintage-esque shape you see on all of the movie starlets from the 1920s. False eyelashes that are too dense and heavy will only highlight the downturn, so for a more modern look, stick with lashes that are wispy and natural-looking. Try giving your outer corners a lift with our Tina or Thuy Lashes, these are the classic winged styles that will help to lift the end of your eyeliner if you want to during that downturn upside down. You can also try our Mimi or Jenai silk eyelashes – these are both low-volume, crisscross l ash designs that are best described as ‘spiky’. With the longest lashes at the center of the eye, they provide a subtle all-over lift to your entire eye.
So this is great…now that you know your eye shape and the ideal lash style for you it’s time to try a pair on. Check out our best lashes at mademoisellelash.com.
